Ribbon tweeter with SRT membrane, flat flange 104 mm diameter, 8 ohm impedance
Viawave Audio proudly introduces a true world first in the GRT-145; the technology of sealing the air gap between the ribbon and the poles of the magnets. Developed by Viawave Audio, this technology is called SRT - the sealed ribbon tweeter.
SRT technology radically reduces the nonlinear distortion of the tweeter and allows it to operate at lower frequencies, while maintaining the transparency of the ribbon speakers sounding. Typical subjective GRT-145 sound scores: clarity, natural, with high spatial resolution.
By combining SRT technology and a powerful magnetic system, a unique sensitivity was achieved for a ribbon of 7 cm2 - 95 dB/W/m in 4 - 18 kHz range.
The rear chamber of the tweeter is filled with a set of felt plates of a certain shape. This way of filling the rear chamber provides a very high repeatability of the parameters of tweeters.
